The mission of KNOWsis is to provide a beautiful, peaceful, stimulating, safe and encouraging environment where everyone - regardless of creed, religious affiliation or beliefs - can come to focus on their true limitless powers and thereby restore, renew and cleanse themselves in mind/body/spirit and experience life as they truly desire. It is our purpose to support and encourage others to be exactly as they desire to be using ourselves, our staff of qualified experienced holistic practitioners as well as the beauty of nature itself as tools of focus to this end.
WHAT EXACTLY DOES KNOWSIS PROVIDE AND HOW DOES KNOWSIS HELP PEOPLE TO FOCUS, HEAL AND RESTORE THEMSELVES?
There are many ways that KNOWsis Retreat is a powerful tool to assist people in focusing on their truth and manifesting the experience of health, joy, freedom and limitless in their lives.
1. KNOWsis is located on 80 acres of unspoiled countryside that is teeming with countless forms of natural life - trees, flowers, meadows, birds, deer, frogs and so much more. At KNOWsis one is surrounded by the natural beauty of life that we are ALL one with. The KNOWsis Wellness Retreat offers several walking paths, a pond, a garden with walking meditation maze as well as outdoor gaming areas. It has been scientifically proven that being immersed in nature and breathing pure air affords one the experience of cleansing and oxygenating the body even at the cellular level. This supports optimum healing and regeneration. It has also been scientifically proven that being in a natural environment serves to stimulate and clear the senses allowing for full mental and emotional health.
The grounds provide perfect areas for picnics, bird and nature watching, landscape painting, outdoor activities including yoga, meditation and gardening.
2. KNOWsis offers a community lodge featuring a performance space, massage and aromatherapy rooms, art studio, sauna, sodium bath spa, rehearsal room with piano, a library with inspiring works on mind/body/spirit health by celebrated authors throughout history and communal kitchen. The lodge also serves as an oasis for gathering, celebrating, communing with other guests, gifted teachers, speakers and performers offering their talents, insight and encouragement for complete wellness and health.
3. KNOWsis offers a 5 star, one of kind restaurant featuring the healthiest and most delicious cuisine on earth. All of the ingredients are certified organic, pure and free of all animal products and bi-products. All dishes are plant-based and completely uncooked to retain their optimum nutrients and flavors.
4. KNOWsis provides a full year-round schedule of events and classes including meditation, food preparation, yoga, natural healing, book readings, lectures, live performances and film series, dances and celebrations.
5. KNOWsis provides clean, quiet and cozy accommodations for various group sizes – from 10 individual cabins to 4 cottages suitable for a family of up to 5 to 3 bunk rooms with 20 beds in each. All sleeping spaces are designed for simple, quiet comfort. Each unit is completely free of telephones, television, radio and computers. There is also an area camping with tents with shower and restroom facilities located nearby.
6. KNOWsis provides a community laundry room that is available to all guests.
7. KNOWsis provides the lowest rates possible in order to help make the sanctuary available to everyone regardless of financial circumstances. We also offer a program wherein qualified persons may receive room and board in exchange for services in the following categories – yoga teachers, food preparation instructors, masseurs/masseuses, nutritionists, aroma therapy specialists, naturopathic healers and practitioners, gardening, cleaning and maintenance workers, electricians.
8. KNOWsis provides various packages for short and long-term stays depending on your specific desires and requirements. The restaurant and many of the daily scheduled events are open to the public.
9. The KNOWsis Wellness Retreat and Sanctuary welcomes everyone of every age (children accompanied by adults) who desire to focus on their wellness and transform their lives. Your stay at KNOWsis sanctuary may be as structured or unstructured as you wish. Each guest is free to join in as many of the daily scheduled classes, lectures and events as he/she wants or to simply spend time enjoying the beauty of nature, meditating or socializing. How you use the KNOWsis Wellness Retreat is up to you. We are here to support and encourage you on your journey to Oneness.

IS KNOWSIS LIKE A REGULAR MOTEL OR HOTEL? IS THERE ROOM SERVICE AND MAID SERVICE?
KNOWsis is quite a unique resort in that there is no “room service” nor maid service per se. We trust all guests to care for their own living quarters in a respectful and responsible way whether it be in a cabin, family cottage, bunk house or camp site – This includes cleaning up after themselves and their children and otherwise treating the units as their own. Aside from our restaurant which is centrally located to all sleeping units, we offer a community kitchen for those who wish to prepare their own meals and a laundry room that is available to all guests (again, each guest is entrusted to clean up after each time they use these facilities). Aside from that, our staff is always working to make sure the grounds and community areas are kept clean, safe and beautiful for all.
AS THIS IS A HEALTH-ORIENTED RETREAT, ARE THERE DOCTORS, NURSES AND MEDICAL CLINICS ON THE GROUNDS.
There are no allopathic doctors, nurses or medical facilities at KNOWsis however there are many naturopathic professionals specializing in blood analysis, nutrition, guided fasts, liver and gall bladder flushes, fitness and all aspects of total health both in residence and as guest speakers. As KNOWsis is a sanctuary for focusing on the true nature of health and allowing this to manifest itself in our lives, we provide all manner of support in this area – from lectures and classes on proper nutrition, to relaxation and meditation to yoga, exercising. Our facilites include a sauna, sodium bath, massage rooms, aroma therapy rooms and more. Again, the focus at KNOWsis is on manifesting and maintaining HEALTH as opposed to otherwise.
IS KNOWsis "GREEN" or "ECO-FRIENDLY?
Yes. The KNOWsis Wellness Retreat is conceived, built and is maintained using only non-toxic or natural materials that did not nor will not poison or deplete the environment to the best of our knowledge. All gardening and grounds keeping on the premises utilizes pesticide free products. All cleaning products used at KNOWsis are free of toxins and are safely bio-degradeable too.
CAN WE BRING OUR PETS
Yes, you are free to bring your dog and cat to KNOWsis and of course we entrust you to take full responsibility for these animals during your visit – including cleaning up/picking up after them inside the sleeping units and on the grounds. We also entrust you to ensure that your pets are safe and well behaved and that other guests are always comfortable and safe around your pets.
IS KNOWSIS OPEN DURING THE WINTER? I HEAR WINTERS IN
Yes, KNOWsis is a year-round resort. Life doesn’t stop for the winter, why should we! There are just as many events and activities going on at KNOWsis during the winter/snowy season as any other season including guest speakers, films, live music and performances and workshops. During these times all are invited to come and warm themselves and commune with others around the roaring fire in the community lodge fireplace each night. KNOWsis is the perfect place to experience the beauty of nature in winter.
ARE NON-VEGETARIANS ALLOWED AT KNOWSIS?
Everyone who has a desire to be healthy, happy and focused is welcome at KNOWsis. We seek to encourage and support this process by using ourselves as living examples. We serve only fresh, whole, organic, uncooked, vegan, cruelty-free (and might I add delicious) food in our restaurant and snack bar. Beyond that you are free to get into your car at any time and seek out food that is not.
IS SMOKING AND ALCOHOL PERMITTED AT KNOWSIS?
KNOWsis is a smoke, alcohol and drug-free sanctuary. Again, we welcome anybody who is seeking to focus and manifest true joy and health in their lives. We seek to support and courage the process of health and wellness in the best ways we know how. We cannot control anyone nor do we desire to. There are plenty of other options besides KNOWsis for those who feel they must drink and smoke etc.
WILL CHRISTIANS FEEL WELCOME AT KNOWSIS?
KNOWsis is a non-denominational sanctuary. It is not affiliated with any religious organization in any way. We welcome people of every religious belief and faith including those who have no religion nor desire for one. We embrace everyone as pure, Divine creations and feel that no one is any better or worse than everyone else. It is our purpose to afford people the experience of being one with all of life and to take control of their personal journeys. Beyond this, it is up to everyone to decide if they will feel comfortable at KNOWsis or anywhere else.
