Hello Fellow Earth Visitors,

It's been a a while since my last communication here but that is merely a sign that it has been a very active and full summer - albeit a rather quick and drippy one.  I trust you all have had a very fulfilling summer in many ways.

It occured to me (again) that music is such an important tool of expression for us in so many ways.  But it is also a powerful tool to REMIND us of how powerful we are.  Here are the words to a wonderful song called "Sweepin' The Clouds Away" written by Sam Coslow in 1930.  I feel the message of the song - essentially that joy or sorrow is up to us to choose - is the wisdom of the ages.  See what you think:

I truly feel that everything in our existences is the result of choice.  From my experience I have found that nothing "just happens" to us - that in fact we cause everything to happen at each moment.  Many may express aggitation at this statement:  "But - why would anyone choose to be sick or impoverished or to be a victim of an disaster?"  My answer to that is - you'd have to ask those who have experienced those things for your answer.

Hello everyone.  I would like to have a discussion now about CHOICE.  After all, as far as I'm concerned, everything we do and think and feel and experience on this earth is the result of CHOICE.  Do you agree with this?  Or do you feel that everything in your life is just "happening" to you somehow without your knowing or controlling it - that all of your experiences are just the result of some power seperate and apart from "you" and that...

Easter is coming up and I want to reflect on what this holiday implies to many - including myself.  Many people view Easter as the most important day of the Christian callendar for it marks the resurrection of the man called Jesus, referred to as the Christ, after he died cross - in order to save humanity from their sins and offer eternal life. 

I think we when do things that are truly good for ourselves - we are doing good things for everyone everywhere - including for all those beings that share the planet with us.  Doing good for ourselves is not, as it may seem, shallow and self-centered etc. for if we cannot truly treat ourselves well and make choices that will benefit ourselves, how can we really do so for others?  Author John Robbins makes this point wonderfully in his new book "THE FOOD REVOLUTION"...
